Sweet almond oil is made from the Prunus dulcis tree. The oil is unrefined and the seed (almond) is cold pressed to create a lightweight,  pale colored oil with a light to no scent. Almond oil is high in vitamin D and E and fatty acids. Almond oil improves the skin moisture barrier to hydrate dry skin.  It acts as an emollient to soften and soothe skin while sealing moisture in the skin. Apricot kernel oil is made from the seeds inside of the Prunus armeniaca fruit pit. The oil is pale golden in color and odorless. It contains tocopherols and phytosterols which are emollient antioxidants found in fruits. It is lightly exfoliating, helping remove dead skin cells to reveal a brighter complexion minimizing dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Apricot kernal has antibacterial properties to help heal acne. The nutritive properties are anti-aging helping reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Beeswax is produced from female honeybees and is secreted from their abdomen. It is one of the most ancient ingredients used in skincare. Beeswax has a deep golden color with a faint honey scent. Beeswax is used to harden our salves. It forms a protective barrier on the skin to lock in moisture, keeping it soft and hydrated without clogging pores. It is antibacterial and anti-inflammatory to help heal wounds, and soothe irritated skin. While beeswax can be made from the pollen of organic plants, bee's flying range can take them to non-organic plants therefore technically it cannot be labeled as organic or non-gmo.

Black cumin seed oil is made from the seeds of the Nigella sativa plant. It has been used for ceturies in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The phytonutrients contained in the seeds make this oil anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and is full of antioxidants. It is highly nutritive and contains vitamins A,B and C. Camellia seed oil is made from the Camellia oleifera also known as tea oil or oil seed camellia plant. Tea seed oil contains many fatty acids including omega 3 and omega 6. It is also high in vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. This makes this oil extremely nourishing and its similarity to our own skin's natural oils allow the oil to quickly and deeply penetrate the epidermis so your skin doesn't feel greasy. Cocoa butter is made from the seeds of  the Theobroma cacao plant. The seeds are dried and then broken into smaller pieces. These pieces are slowly pressed to release the liquid. It is cooled and hardened.  Cocoa butter is a solid plant fat that has a moderate chocolate scent. It has a rich source of polyphenols which are antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.  This nutrient  dense butter helps form a layer on the skin’s surface to  help reduce transepidermal water loss, allowing your skin to retain more moisture.

Coconut oil is made from Cocos nucifera fruit. The flesh is scraped, shredded and dried for afew hours to remove excess moisture. It is then cold pressed to remove the oil. Coconut oil is one of the most well-known oils for both cosmetic and food purposes. It is highly nutritious and contains high levels of linoleic acid, which is an unsaturated omega-6 fatty acid. It protects and moisturizes skin while preventing transdermal water loss to keep skin soft and supple.

Evening primrose oil is made from the seeds of Oenothera biennis, a common wildflower with large, lemon scented yellow flowers. Grapeseed oil is made from the Vitis vinifera fruit. The small seeds inside the grapes are cold pressed to extract the oil. Grapeseed oil is well-known for both cosmetic and food purposes. Hemp seed oil is made from the Cannabis sativa plant. The small round seeds are cold pressed to extract the oil. The oil is a deep, green color as a result of the chlorophyll which is naturally present in the seeds. The oil contains no THC but may contain very small amounts of CBD. It is also highly nutritious for both your skin and your body as a whole. It is a reparitive oil that reduces inflammation, reduces redness and balances the skin's natural oil production. Jojoba oil is made from the Simmondsia chinensis desert shrub. It is technically not an oil but rather a wax ester. This is the closest you can get to your skin's own sebum production. This makes it so compatible with our skin, it absorbs easily and readily. Because of this similar nature, jojoba helps balance our body's oil production which makes this fantastic for oily or dry skin. Mango butter is made from the Mangifera indica fruit. The large seed in the mango is pressed to extract this semi-solid plant butter. Mango is a rich source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Olive oil is made from the Olea europaea fruit. It is cold pressed to extract the richly scented green oil. Olive oil is universally used throughout the world for culinary and cosmetic purposes. Sunflower oil is made from the seeds of Helianthus annuus.  It is used for both culinary and cosmetic purposes. It is a light weight pale yellow color. Sunflower oil is high in oleic acids and vitamins A, D, and E. It helps support and even repair the skin's natural moisture barrier. It keeps skin hydrated while softening and smoothing dry, rough skin. While it works for all skin types its particularly good for dry skin and doesn't clog pores for those with acne prone skin.

Vitamin E is made by vacuum distillation of plant derived fats. It acts as an antioxidant and prevents rancidity in oil based products. It is rich in delta and gamma tocopherols which work as antioxidents to combat free radical damage. Vitamin E is the only hydrating antioxidant which is an emollient and humectant to attract moisture as well as retain it to give your skin a healthy, plump and glowing appearance. Vitamin E occurs naturally in many of the oils listed above as well.
