   As the holiday season draws nearer, there are less and less chances to slip away for weekend adventures. So we took the opportunity to take a break from orders to head out east to our favorite place. In our many many years going to the desert, we never have visited Whitewater Reserve, and I have no idea how! This magical oasis lies in a canyon near Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. This week hit over 100 degrees here in parts of Southern California, so without being able to work without exhaustion, we took a little break from the heat out in the mountains. Its rare to find a good swimming spot down here as rivers aren't as abundant as other parts of the state. But we found a gem that made for a perfect place to cool off for the day!
